Oytun Orgul is a freelance director of photography and lighting cameraman based in Istanbul, Turkey. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and TV earned from Istanbul Bilgi University.
All through his professional life, he took part in filming projects both in Turkey and in various countries around the world for many national and international production companies. The projects which he took part as a director of photography or camera operator have been broadcasted in many international channels such as National Geographic, BBC and CNBC as well as screened at the film festivals around the world.
He made filming for various documentary projects under difficult mountain and nature environments like Antarctica, Pamir Mountains and the Himalayas, as well as in some underdeveloped countries such as Cambodia and Tajikistan.
In 2011, he was chosen for Sony’s Independent Certified Experts(ICE) team which brings successful media professionals from all around Europe together. Within this program, he is getting trainings about new camera models, doing masterclasses and trainings about cameras and video technologies and gives product support to customers of Sony.
